What does Fisher and Floyd Construction do?
We build custom homes in Baldwin County, Alabama, from initial plans through completion, including raised beach houses on pilings. We also do remodels, porches, decks and outdoor living, finish carpentry, custom cabinetry and custom shutters.
Do you build raised beach houses on pilings?
Yes. Many of our homes are raised coastal houses: pilings set, the floor and walls framed, sheathed and wrapped, then the siding, windows, roof, porches, stairs and railings. You can see them at every stage on Our Work.
Can you help with the plans for a new home?
Yes. We work with you from the initial plans through completion.
I already have a lot. Can you build on it?
Yes. Tell us where the lot is when you ask for your quote.
Do you do remodels?
Yes: kitchens, bathrooms, condos and whole homes. One whole-home remodel took us six weeks from start to finish. See the remodel photos.
Do you build porches, decks and patio covers?
Yes: covered porches, decks, patio covers, pool decks, lean-tos, stairs and beach walkovers. Two of our Google reviews are for a patio cover and pool deck, and a pool deck and lean-to.
Do you do finish carpentry and cabinets?
Yes. Built-ins and shelving, stairs and railings, wood ceilings and beams, mantels, and custom cabinetry for your kitchen, bathroom or any other space.
Do you make custom shutters?
Yes. Custom-designed, handcrafted shutters for your windows, for privacy and style.
Do you install siding or build additions?
Yes to both. Our crews install Hardie siding (recently on two houses in Fairhope), and we build additions such as a carport with living quarters.

How long does it take to build a house?
It depends on the size and design of the house and the lot. You will get an idea of the timing when we go over your quote.
